Yes - you've seen the color wheel!

But, seriously, have you made your own and Then. Used. It??

In these light-hearted and whimsical yet basic color techniques we will SEE how colors go together. (Or don't). Kinda like in the kitchen where i don't put salad on my pasta, no warm and cool mixing. But next to each other? Ooo, baby!

We'll explore color combinations and find the ones that work. We'll take away that guess work. After all, that often didn't work anyway. Add in just enough playfulness to keep it all fresh and adventuresome. And finish knowing which colors "play well" together.

Result: a confident artist who is comfortable with color!

The color module contains an intro, supply list (tho you can use your own supplies) and 6 interactive video projects. Plus two bonuses:

  • Make-your-own color wheel—because, seriously, don't you want your color wheel to have your favorite colors in it?
  • Background play.

Be sure to check out the entire color • design • sketch series that features over 10 hours of instruction and 18 interactive projects filled with quick hints and tips to encourage you on your art journey.

When my son was born over 30 years ago, I turned my brief free moments toward art. Now, as a full-time artist, I create to inspire and encourage not only myself, but you, too!

Second only to my passion for Jesus, I find I have a passion for teaching others. My mom always wanted me to be a teacher—she was one pretty smart lady. Whether you are a beginner or have been doing art for years, you will enjoy my “hey – we can do this!” attitude. Because that’s what I say to myself every day!

I seem to grow more and more curious all the time. So I am constantly learning and often share this with you too. Letting you know what works and what maybe doesn’t.

Join me at my blog, on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. Some of my mini abstracts are for sale on my website, for mini prices. Prints and cards, most featuring the artful ladies, are available and Etsy. You might enjoy my book(let): Bible Journaling: Honoring the Spirit. More on my book page.

Let me know how I can help you!

Jesus and art are my passions. “As for me, I will praise the Lord.” (Psalm 104:35)

Sue lives with her wonderful and handsome hubby, Randy, of 40 years. They just finished building their dream home on the shores of Lake Superior in Wisconsin and winter in Estero, Florida. They are blessed with two spectacular children and one extraordinary grandchild.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
Do I have to be a fabulous artist to enjoy the course?
No! As with anything else in life, this course might be a little easier if you have some experience, but it is developed so anyone with a little—or a lot—of experience, can enjoy it! If you are an advanced artist, you may already know the concepts contained in the course.
Will you teach me how to paint?
No. This course highlights color combinations. Though I demo using acrylics, you could play with watercolors or even pencils for that matter. And the techniques for each of those mediums would be different.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
